The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Sri Lanka, H.E. Miyon Lee, met with the Hon. Speaker of the Parliament of Sri Lanka, Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne, yesterday (18) at the Parliamentary premises. The Secretary General of Parliament, Mrs. Kushani Rohanadeera, was also present at the meeting.
During the discussions, Hon. Speaker and the Korean Ambassador exchanged views on strengthening bilateral cooperation in key sectors, including trade, technology, investment, healthcare, and tourism. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to deepening collaboration in these areas to foster mutual growth and development.
H.E. Miyon Lee also provided an overview of the ongoing development projects in Sri Lanka supported by the Republic of Korea. She reaffirmed South Korea’s continued support for Sri Lanka’s development initiatives and expressed hope for further strengthening the long-standing partnership between the two nations.
